File a Claim

If you've had a claim, call us first.

You don't have to call the 800-number on the back of your ID card. You can call Dan. Even at 2 AM after a car accident, even on Christmas Eve, even when you're on the side of a road and don't know what to do next.

A claim is the only thing we sell. The annual premium, the renewal paperwork, the bound policy — all of it exists to make a working claim possible. When the time comes, we want to be the first call. We can help you decide whether to file at all, file with the carrier on your behalf, and stay involved through the adjuster process until you're paid.

What happens next.

  1. Call us. We answer the phone. Even after hours.
  2. We help you decide whether to file. Sometimes the better answer is "don't file." A small fender-bender at a $1,000 deductible may not be worth the surcharge that follows. We'll talk through the math with you before anything goes on the record.
  3. If you file, we file with the carrier on your behalf and stay involved through the adjuster process. We're the second voice on the call. We know the adjusters. We know the questions to ask.
  4. We follow up after settlement to make sure you got what your policy said you'd get. If the carrier underpaid the claim, we go back to them. That's claims advocacy, and it's the thing nobody on a TV commercial talks about.
